Do-All Outdoors Body Shot Target .22 Review

This target is absolutely amazing!!! I love it!!! I can't say that enough!!! HOWEVER, I don't love the price. I bought mine from an Amazon affiliate called Woot. MINE WAS ONLY $40 and worth every penny! I would not pay the current price of $110 from Amazon, even with Prime shipping. Now for the actual review of the product.

I now have 3 do-all steel targets and I love them all. This body target is pretty much perfect in my eyes. Assembly was a breeze and after you figure out what way to put the springs you don't need the instructions anymore. The target is fairly heavy so it doesn't move when you shoot it, yet it is still easy to carry around. The springs could be a little softer to make the target move more when you hit it. The body target sits at a slight angle forward and when you shoot it the target only moves until it is vertical. Not even close to actually knocking it down. However, it moves plenty to see that you hit it and makes a nice little ping that can be heard with earplugs in.

I was afraid to take this to the range because 22's seem to ricochet a lot. Because the target is slanted forward, all the bullets get splattered into the ground. Even if you hit low on the target the rounds are deflected into the ground. Absolutely perfect design.

Now the big topic, durability. I have about 250 hits on this target (see my picture) and there is absolutely no deformation of the metal. I sat at a bench an put 48 out of 50 rounds in about 30 seconds on this thing and had no ill effects on it. I don't see any indications that the metal will ever wear out as long as you shoot it at the recommended distance (at least 30 yards).

Pros:
Easy setup
Both audible and visual hit confirmation
Body target stays attached to base making it easy to move (the higher calibers don't)\
Durability
deflects rounds into the ground
This is an absolute blast to shoot! I can't say it enough!

Cons:
$$$ Like I said, wait until you can find a deal. Not worth over $50 in my opinion.
Size. The body is a little small. I had no problems hitting it out to 60 yards, even with my pistol, but I thought it would be bigger

All in all, if you find this for under $50, buy it. If not you will have to decide. Either way you will not be disappointed.

They're tighter than I thought they would be on my large thighs. But I've always had a problem getting clothing to fit on my big bones. These are more of a pita to put on than my REI Alpine rain pants with full zips, but they weigh next to nothing and the packaged size is tiny. I have the matching Exped bivy poncho UL and don't yet have an opinion about the crotchless feature/aspect. :) Mid to full sized waterproof boots should work great, but gaitors may be required in some cases for low cut hiking shoes. I have to remove my boots to get these on.
