Kershaw Scallion Blue Knife Review

I am very partial to this knife. I have had multiple in the past few years. I like the blue frame on this one. This is a very good knife to carry in your pocket. It has an assisted open which is unparalelled. My only issue with it is that the locking mechanism that keeps the blade closed in your pocket is made of plastic and I have had two break which makes them no longer feasible to carry in your pocket as it will open on you.

EKA EKA-618908 Swede 88, Oak Wood Handle, Plain with Sheath Review

I got one of these the other day , to add to other knives I own. This is Swedish , has a scandi ground blade, and is so good as a slicer.It is also available in Bubinga , and Masur Birch wood. Get this model as the Birch one is the same,apart from the type of wood handle, ( the Birch one costs more !!) I think the oak handle is more in keeping for a swedish knife.

I was going to get a larger thicker knive from EKA - the EKS lite 8 , but they all looked too big. The blade is on this model is 1.65mm thick about 3" long , and tough enough not to flex or bend in use. This was a worry for me , as I had not handled this knife before purchasing it.

I touched up the blade on my Spyderco Sharpmaker, as there was a wire edge on it.
Now it cuts better than ever.
The handle in oak , is such an easy clever design. It fits my hands comfortably , and is not slippery when wet.

The steel is Sandvick , rustless etc.

The action when you open it is excellent, it clicks open and is reassuring in its use . No play from the blade , and all edges on the wood , back of blade or the locking joint are all rounded and glide in your hands, no rough edges !! This is a first for me to find in a production knife.

It is a pleasure to use in the field , around the home or office.
I am a satisfied customer , and at these prices , are a good buy.

NRS Rodeo Pants - Black XL Review

Everything about these kayak pants are perfect. They fit close, but have a wide range of flexibility. The neoprene is just the right gauge, so even on really warm days they do not get overpoweringly sweaty. I do a lot of hunting from my kayak, and the pants are just as good out of the boat, too, when I need to stalk deer through thick riverside bracken and up narrow cut-channels. The waist is super comfortable, ankle zippers are heavy duty, pants taper perfectly to fit into knee-length neoprene mukluks (Neosport). Then on the cold days, they are perfect as well: not for sub-zero temps, of course, but we don't get a lot of sub-zero action in this region of Oregon (Willamette Valley). When I am wearing my PFD, a paddle jacket and these pants I feel confident in my ability to deal with a capsize if I have to. One of my best purchases for 2012-13.
