Everything about these kayak pants are perfect. They fit close, but have a wide range of flexibility. The neoprene is just the right gauge, so even on really warm days they do not get overpoweringly sweaty. I do a lot of hunting from my kayak, and the pants are just as good out of the boat, too, when I need to stalk deer through thick riverside bracken and up narrow cut-channels. The waist is super comfortable, ankle zippers are heavy duty, pants taper perfectly to fit into knee-length neoprene mukluks (Neosport). Then on the cold days, they are perfect as well: not for sub-zero temps, of course, but we don't get a lot of sub-zero action in this region of Oregon (Willamette Valley). When I am wearing my PFD, a paddle jacket and these pants I feel confident in my ability to deal with a capsize if I have to. One of my best purchases for 2012-13.
