These little things are amazing, it shows exactly where my car is on Google maps, sitting right in my driveway! You will want to use the "LE" command to set the language to English then the "ZC" command to bind it to your mobile phone number. Then, all you do is send it the command "Google" in a text message and it will reply with the location in a URL you can display in Google maps to see the vehicle location. There is a command "DW" that's supposed to return the location but I never could get it to do anything but it's not really needed. There is an option to continuously show the vehicle's position on a world map but that's extra cost, requires the SIM have an expensive data plan and runs on a server in China so I never tried it.
If you have the version that can operate a relay it can be connected to the fuel pump or ignition system to disable the vehicle when the TO or DO commands are texted to the device. It has occurred to me that the device could be easily defeated just by driving out of town where there's no cellphone service but if you send the disable command that would probably work when they got back into range.
I never could tell for sure if you need to use the APN command to set your internet provider or not though, maybe it would be necessary if you are using a data plan. A data plan isn't necessary for it to work since an inexpensive voice and text only plan works just fine and that costs just $10/90 days from T-Mobile. They also have free SIMS with free shipping when purchased from their website.
The tiny user guide that's written in fractured English after having been translated from fractured Chinese is hard to make any sense out of though. It's better to email the seller and have them send you a copy of it in a file that you can blow up on the PC screen. Buyers should be aware that there are several different versions of this device and the one they show in the photo with just a 2 wire cable does not operate a relay to disable the vehicle like they claim. You need the version with a 3 wire or 4 wire cable for that.
