These are soft and comfortable, but I just cut off 5 inches from the bottoms of the legs. When I tried them out of the box, they were 10 inches too long. I'm 5' 4 1/2" and wear a size 8. I washed them and put them in a low heat dryer, not believing that polyester would shrink, but wanting to wash them first. To my amazement, they did shrink in length by about 5 inches. Don't know how that's possible, but they did. Still had to cut them shorter. As for size, I wish I had gotten the medium, but at the time I bought them, only the large was available. They are a bit loose, but I just want to wear them around the house, and the drawstring adjusts the fit. One more thing...when I washed them in cool water they bled black into the whole wash, which was a dark wash except for a lingerie bag that was white. It turned dark gray. Would I buy them again? No... certainly not at full price.
