I got this rod for a airline trip so I could keep it in my carry on instead of checking my 2 piece rod (because of all the stupid airline stuff now). It did a good job. I was concerned that with so many sections something might loosen up during use, but it worked without any problems. It's not as nice as my Sage, but it's absolutely fine for travel. It's a good value for the money.
