Introduced in 1993, Fabled Cables are IronMind's version of the "chest expander" you used as a kid if you fantasized about becoming a man of muscle. Stuff it in your desk drawer, coat pocket, or your smallest piece of luggage - so you can bang out some training in situations where you might otherwise be left idle. When you can't carry a set of weights with you, Fabled Cables are a pretty good substitute. This year we've added a rigid handle that harkens back to our original Fabled Cables. The set comes with six vulcanized natural rubber bands; each has about 9 lb. of resistance, 53 lb. for the set of six. The bands can also be used to add resistance to pulling/pushing exercises like squats, push-ups, and deadlifts. Fabled Cables Review

I bought three of these items in the past 5 years.

This version has solid plastic tube handles and they are good quality (Purchased two of these items)

The other version had soft handles which was not good. (I removed that review)

I wish Ironmind would make a metal set of chest expanders. (FYI- Ironmind makes the best weightlifting equipment in the world. Ironmind products are used in the Worlds strongest Man contest and other strongman shows world wide)
