I run six days a week 5 to 10 miles a day. I wear Asics Gel Kayano's. I read about this brand and was really hoping this would be great to increase my endurance without causing fatigue in my legs. I put these on and thought I was standing on concrete. Totally stiff and hard. My right foot felt like it was rolling out just standing. I ran in them one time and finished with a shin splint! I have not had one of those in over a year. I tried to wear them again the next day and took them off after 20 minutes, putting my old Asics on and felt relief. I can say when you switch back to a "normal" running shoe you can actually tell the spring was in there. But I noticed nothing different than my other shoes except discomfort. I am sending them back and not going to try them again.

I've been looking for decent brightly coloured poles (easier to find both the poles, for my wife to find me on the mountain), as well as breakaway grips which are rare nowadays. I prefer these both to reduce injury risk and so I can hook them on the restraining bar when on a ski lift. The only things I don't like about these are both just cosmetic, in that the grips colour is an ugly mustard which looks kind of weird with the neon yellow poles, and the bizarre looking picture of some guy on the poles (Kompardell??)
Note - make sure to give the baskets a very hard twist to secure them. I lost one within a few days. Found spares at REI (who's pole baskets are fortunately compatible).

The case construction quality was a pleasant surprise. The latches close with a solid "thunk". The case is waterproof. It is relatively light weight for the incredible amount of protection it provides.

I do a lot of video and picture editing, so I need access to lots of data storage. I don't want to be tied down to one workstation. This case has provided safe, padded portability for my primary hard drive for each project. Each case can hold 1 or 2 standard hard drives in a compact external-style USB-3.0 enclosure. I can place the hard drive in the back of my SUV or inside my carryon luggage and know the drive will be unmolested when I arrive at my destination.

I also use one of these cases to carry mic's for video shoots. You can drop it in water and nothing gets damaged. Sweet!

Laguna Surf II Neofin Fins XXL Review

I liked this fin primarily because it was rated an XXL and I could actually get it on (I wear a 15 EE). The soft foot pocket allowed me to get my foot in it and wear the fin. Performance-wise, the fin part could be a little more flexible to improve swim characteristics. In the water, it takes a little time to get used to the soft foot pocket since it is totally different from traditional fins. In my size, this is about the only fin to fit, so I do recommend it. Note: there is a hook/loop tightening strap under a flap at the entry - loosen it before trying the fin on.
