The case construction quality was a pleasant surprise. The latches close with a solid "thunk". The case is waterproof. It is relatively light weight for the incredible amount of protection it provides.

I do a lot of video and picture editing, so I need access to lots of data storage. I don't want to be tied down to one workstation. This case has provided safe, padded portability for my primary hard drive for each project. Each case can hold 1 or 2 standard hard drives in a compact external-style USB-3.0 enclosure. I can place the hard drive in the back of my SUV or inside my carryon luggage and know the drive will be unmolested when I arrive at my destination.

I also use one of these cases to carry mic's for video shoots. You can drop it in water and nothing gets damaged. Sweet!

The construction quality was beyond my expectations - I've seen these cases used by everything from SWAT teams to ocean drilling operations for equipment protection. It is reminiscent of the good old days when everything made in the U.S.A. was this solid and trustworthy. Perhaps the good old days are back? ;->
